This combination of color and layering has become one of my favorites. This High-Slit Longline Tee added just the right amount of flavor while this 7 year old $5 scarf still proved itself worthy to be taken out of the closet. The booties however, have become one of my fall/winter staples. I snagged them from Forever 21 for $31. Can’t beat the price or the comfort. I barely missed the “heatstroke” mark with this outfit today. Now I’m just patiently waiting to be able to pull out all of my cozy attire.
WEAR YOUR ATTITUDE
In the beautiful city of Houston winter is not so “winter” after all. We’ve had a few cool weather days here and there, but for the most part the typical high temp for the day has been between 70 and 80 degrees. This has put quite a strain on my winter attire. Not to mention I’ve been stocking up on sweaters and cardigans…thinking I’d be able to wear them. But on the contrary I’ve had to strategically coordinate my warmer wear with iPhone’s weather app. Lord, be with me. Because we all know that even the weather forecasts we rely on are rarely accurate these days. Today I got lucky with a high of 75. I laugh as I type this because this is unheard of for late December. But enough about the weather. Let’s get to the look.

Nothing like a nice pair of booties to complete your outfit. I just HAD to have these. Correction…I NEEDED them. I drove to the Galleria bright and early and arrived 10 minutes before the mall opened. As soon as I parked I turned off my car and began to get out. Then I decided to stay in the car and wait until the mall officially opened. Of course I was going to turn on my a/c while I waited. Well…when I turned the key in the ignition the car wouldn’t start. The battery was DEAD. So I had to get a jump, drive to the nearest Auto Zone, buy a new battery, and have it changed out. Once that was complete all I could think about was returning to the mall. And I did just that. Lol. Nothing could keep us apart. They were totally worth it. But enough about how I met my SOLEmates. Here’s how I used them to bring an old dress back LIFE, honey.

Fall means pulling out clothes you haven’t worn since last year. These joggers are a prime example. They were definitely a forgotten treasure, but when I put them on I fell in love all over again. I kept this combo sweet and simple by adding a white tee and layering it with a blazer. (Cues trumpet) And now for the grand finale…these gorgeous heels from A’GACI.
I ordered these with a smile on my face because I KNEW I was making a great life decision. These babies are 5 inches of fun. They also give your calves a mighty workout so be prepared to stretch beforehand. Nevertheless, I love them and nothing can keep us apart. To get this look scroll down below. Happy Shopping!

Anyone else FALLing? I know I am. Even though it’s still hotter than Hades in Houston I’m moving on to fall colors. Dear summer, I can’t wait for you to get your act together.
Every year you find it harder to leave. Please let us go. The Look
So this burnt orange button down is definitely my favorite fall item. It just screams “falling leaves”. It provides a sense of comfort and “warmth” (even though that’s the last thing we need right now).
But let’s move on to these fabulous heels from Lola Shoetique. I love the fact that I can dress them up or down; dress or jeans. Doesn’t matter. They accentuate every outfit. I purchased these a couple of months ago from http://www.lolashoetique.com. I actually stumbled across their website on Instagram and decided to give them a try. There was also a 15% off promo code provided which sweetened the deal. $30 was the price I paid (original: $35.99) and there was no disappointment upon delivery. I would definitely recommend them to any shoe lover. Check them out! This outfit was all about sass and comfort. I can’t wait for cooler days to roll in so that I can finally pull my boots out. But in the meantime this style will do just fine. Sometimes the best outfits are the simplest ones…

OOTD
Fall is slowly approaching for some, but here in Texas we have AT LEAST another month before it even attempts to cool down. I for one will be taking advantage and enjoying the last bit of summer outfits. It was 93 degrees today so anything light and thin is the way to go. Nothing a midi dress couldn’t fix, right? Of course. I met up with my sister for lunch and shopping and this outfit was perfect for just that.
